Next, I move on to the bolt, it gets more surgery then the folks in Hollywood. This bolt is getting sleeves, so first I have to make the sleeves. This particular bolt will have the sleeves extend into the ejection port so you can see them. I figure the length and positioning of the sleeves and go to it. Everything on my rifles is built to order, nothing is prefabricated, assembly-lined or mass produced. I use stainless steel, usually from factory barrels for the sleeves. They’re not hard to make, but they are tedious, and need to be installed properly.
