…I keep bedding, adding epoxy, shaping the stock until it looks perfect. Next, I clean up the components and make sure everything fits and functions properly when assembled. Trigger/safety is unobstructed, magazine box moves freely, loading/unloading, free-float gap is clear, bolt handle doesn’t touch the stock, etc….
