Final assembly also includes mounting the scope. Note, this isn’t the type of scope mounting you’re going to get down at the local sporting goods store. The bases were lapped to the receiver and then the rings were lapped for perfect alignment and marked for positioning. Loctite is used on all the screws, they’re all properly screwed in with a torque wrench, and the scope reticle is level with the receiver. Also, notice I painted this scope to match the rifle. I rarely do this, but will on some of these high-end, tactical rifle systems. Incidentally, I also painted the Harris bipod.
