Custom Bolt-Action Rifle Building
The founding and core of Soltis Rifles has always been the custom bolt-action rifle. Our flagship is the Soltis Rifles “Signature” Rifle; a “full-build” bolt-action rifle. Built-to-order according to customer specifications and wearing the Soltis Rifles name. Action/Stock/Barrel of your choosing, all of which are tediously tuned and “fit” together. Built one at a time with craftsmanship and precision, nothing is ever assembly-lined. Every Signature Rifle is range tested for accuracy, function, and safety; each is a labor of love never handed over to the proud new owner until all our demanding standards are met.
Currently, we’re building our Signature Rifles on Rem 700, Bergara B-14, Win Mod 70, Weatherby Vanguard & MK5, Howa, 700 Clone Custom Actions and the random Browning, Ruger, Tikka, etc. For barrels, we try to stick with quality cut-rifled barrels produced here in Southern WI (Rock Creek, Bartlein, Krieger, etc.); along with a few carbon-wrapped ones and a couple match-grade buttons. For stocks, depending on budgets; they can be laminates (Boyd’s), synthetics (Bell & Carlson, HS Precision, etc.), high-end fiberglass (McMillan, Manners, etc.), along with a few others and the various chassis systems. In the end, it’s your rifle and it should be uniquely yours. The sky is the limit with these rifles and we do everything we can to accommodate your envisioned rig within reason. Semi-Custom Bolt-Action Rifle Builds
If you’re on a more restrictive budget, but still want a lot of the full-build features, this is a good option. Typically, this rifle is a factory rifle that we rebarrel/accurize and maybe do a few other upgrades. Normally, the factory stock is kept and simply bedded, often the trigger is gone through but not replaced; and the finish is fairly simple, maybe a glass-blasted stainless or single-color paint job. These rifles are very popular because of their price, accuracy, and uniqueness compared to a boring factory gun. We probably do more semi-custom builds than anything else. Everything is discussed beforehand and a quote is provided for the entire project before any work begins
Gunsmithing
We offer a wide array of gunsmithing services to our customers and other gun shops. It’s best to contact us with your gunsmithing needs and we can either assist or refer. Our core gunsmithing services include, but are not limited to, the following:
**Bolt-Action rifle work/customization; including full/semi-custom builds
**Machining; accurizing, blueprinting, muzzle threading, rebarreling, cut-downs, action-smoothing

Refinishing/Parkerizing/Duracoating
We offer a complete firearm refinishing service. Our preferred finish system is Duracoating; usually applied to a Parkerized steel surface, which we also provide. We’ve found this to be a very tough, versatile, and rust-proof coating that allows for an endless variety of colors, sheens, and camo patterns. We also do custom stenciling, glass-blasting on stainless, and the occasional wood stock refinish. We do NOT do bluing or “dipped” camo and certain firearm makes/models we will not refinish. Custom AR Work/Building
The AR has become American as apple pie, with a very large and loyal following. For this reason, we have AR Specialty Gunsmiths who offer AR building and a variety of other gunsmithing services related to AR-15’s and AR-10’s. It can be something as simple as replacing a trigger, all the way up to custom replica building, a one-of-a-kind paintjob and everything in between. Retail
We buy/sell/trade guns; along with selling scopes, parts, and accessories. Our showroom/retail is limited by size, the majority of our space is for the gunsmithing shop. However, we can typically get most factory guns, and we always have some semi-custom and Signature bolt-rifles to admire and play with. Typically, we custom order per client request for retail. Whatever you’re looking for, we can probably find a supplier and get it for you. The advantage of buying a firearm directly from a retail store like ours is we don’t charge a transfer fee and if there’s a problem with the item, we take care of it for you
Firearm Transfers
We are an FFL licensed shop and do provide firearm transfers. If you buy a firearm from us, there is no transfer fee. If you buy elsewhere (normally from online retailers) you can have the firearm(s) shipped to us and we will do the transfer to you for a fee. You must show up in person, at our store, with your Wisconsin I.D. to facilitate a transfer. Depending on the background check system’s status, transfers can be on the spot or take a few days. Currently, our rate is $50 for a handgun and $40 for a long gun. Also, if you are having a firearm shipped to us, please let us know in advance so we can watch for it
LE/SWAT Friendly Shop
We provide professional gunsmithing services and customization specific to LE/SWAT weaponry, primarily precision bolt-action rifles. Including routine maintenance, updating, accessories and troubleshooting. Advanced upgrades, machining, rebarrelling, muzzle-threading, accurizing and refinishing. We also offer an “advantage” to our friends in law enforcement. Your department projects take priority and go to the head of the line. Drop-off and pick-up of your firearm projects are scheduled, making turn around time minimal (typically 2-3 days, but often same or next day). All projects are quoted individually and the price is agreed upon before any work begins. We also run two proprietary classes designed specifically for and only available to LE/SWAT Snipers and Armorers.
