Next, I begin my machining and blueprinting. For this tactical rifle, a Remington 700 short action is used. The factory action in the picture is satisfactory as is, but you already know how I feel about that. I’m going to ream this action’s bolt bore raceway to .705, single point the receiver threads, and re-cut/true the lugs seats and the receiver face.
