After reaming the action, it’s inserted into a fixture, and then all the truing cuts are made. Note, the reamer is left in the action, it sticks out and is used to indicate. Two indicators will be used, one at either end to ensure the action is running as true as possible. Also, the scope bases are left on to provide flat surfaces for two of the fixture screws to mate with, and the front scope base is turned in conjunction with the receiver face for a perfect fit.
